Get it Right before You Start

Software Proposal - Negotiation - Agreement - Software Contract - Collaboration - Successful Project!

A well-negotiated software contract sets up the criterion for project success - Success for both parties!

Negotiation is the phase where you establish the working relationship and build trust and openness of communication.
In negotiation both parties are communicating a common vision of a successful product. We are agreeing what is needed and what can be done. We are agreeing the wealth of benefits that the successful product will deliver to both parties.

Contracts are for when it goes wrong!

The right contract will let you trap signs of risk before they become significant.

Aggressive contracts lead to high prices and poor advice.
Weak contracts lead to poor quality deliveries.

Well-negotiated software agreements lead to Success.

On this site Ian Mitchell will build a number of useful pages on negotiation and legal issues of value to the Computer and Information Technology sector.

This is not a site for legal advice. Ian is not a lawyer.
The site is supported by a lawyer, Michael Wigley, but this is not the channel for legal advice.
